Itinerary*
Day 1
Fly into Bologna airport and check into our city centre hotel. In the afternoon we will visit the Madonna di San Luca, a basilica church on the top of a nearby hill. This elevated view point provides great views of the city and the Stadio Dell'Ara. In the evening Daniele Fisichella will provide a talk on the history of Bologna FC and the Azzurri.
Day 2
After breakfast we will meet our local guide for a Bologna FC city tour. On this city walk our guide will take us to various points that have relevance to this club's history and share insightful stories. You will then have some free time before we reconvene and travel to the Stadio Dell'Ara to cheer on Bologna FC against Parma Calcio. During your free time you may want to visit the iconic 'Two Towers'.
Day 3
We start the day by travelling to the city of Florence. Our first point of call will be Italy's National Training Centre at Coverciano. Here we will have a guided tour of the venue where the Azzurri prepare for their international fixtures. We will then enjoy a guided tour of the Museo del Calcio and discover the Azzurri's rich history. We will then head back into the centre of Florence for lunch and a walk around the city to see some of the stunning landmarks including the Santa Maria del Fiore (the domed cathedral). After this we will head to the Stadio Artemio Franchi to watch the Viola host Torino FC.
Day 4
Recap on your trip highlights with your new friends over breakfast before making your way home. If you book an evening flight back you will have the opportunity to explore a bit of Bologna and enjoy some more of the delicious cusine .
*This is the intended itinerary and may change as it is subject to the finalisation of the fixtures around three weeks before the trip. The content of the itinerary should not change however the running order could. The priority match will be Bologna FC v Parma Calcio and unless it is arranged for the Monday evening after we have left then we will be watching this match. The intention for our second match is to watch Fiorentina v Torino FC however should the time of this clash with the Bologna FC v Parma Calcio match we will watch a suitable alternative.
