Itinerary*

Day 1

Travel with the Aficionados group on our private coach from the convenient departure point of Leamington Spa or alternatively make your own way to the hotel.  Check in to the hotel and get ready for the welcome dinner.  After a delightful dinner our guest football expert for the evening will share knowledge and insight on the illustrious history of Everton F.C. and Goodison Park.

Day 2

After breakfast we will travel into the historic city of Chester. You will spend the morning at leisure exploring the walled city, cathedral and the country's largest Roman amphitheatre. You will also have time to wonder through the black and white Victorian streets where you will be spoilt for choice on a venue for lunch. After lunch we will head to the Deva Stadium to soak up the match day atmosphere and cheer on the community owned Chester F.C.

Day 3

We will head to Merseyside after breakfast. On route to Goodison Park we will stop at Everton Park the location of the club's first ground to see the famous 'Lock-Up' which has appeared in the club crest since 1938. We will also ensure we drive by Bramley-Moore Dock for a sight of Everton's new shinny stadium from next season. Once we arrive at Goodison Park we will take a walk around the famous stadium to appreciate the colourful giant sized history timeline cladding. We will also seize the opportunity to have a photo next to the statue of the legendary Dixie Dean, the world's first number 9. It will then be time for our guided tour of Goodison Park where we have the opportunity to see the press room, changing rooms, and the stadium from the executive seating area before walking out of the iconic tunnel to the sound of the siren and Z-cars! It will then be time to say goodbye to this institutional football stadium and time to start our journey back.
