Itinerary*
Day 1
Meet your fellow travellers at our centrally located Naples hotel before setting out to explore the city's historic heart. We begin with a walk through the UNESCO-listed Historic Centre and Spaccanapoli, followed by a visit to the famous Maradona shrine at Bar Nilo.
Later, we'll enjoy a traditional Neapolitan coffee and an exclusive talk from renowned football historian John Foot, who will share insights into the unique relationship between Naples, football and Diego Maradona.
In the evening, we'll come together for a traditional Neapolitan welcome dinner and the perfect introduction to the days ahead.
Day 2
Today we delve deeper into the story of Naples and its most iconic footballing son, Diego Maradona.
We begin the day at Castel Sant'Elmo, where panoramic views across the city, the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius provide the perfect introduction to the geography and identity of Naples. We then embark on a Maradona pilgrimage, exploring the famous Spanish Quarter and its vibrant street murals before visiting Centro Paradiso, Napoli's former training ground and the place where Maradona and his teammates prepared for some of the club's greatest triumphs. The day culminates with a matchday experience at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, where we will watch Napoli take on Parma and experience one of the most passionate atmospheres in world football.
Day 3
Today we step back in time to explore two of the world's most remarkable archaeological sites. Accompanied by expert guides, we will visit Pompeii and Herculaneum, the ancient Roman cities preserved beneath the ashes of Mount Vesuvius, and discover the fascinating history of life in the Roman Empire.
In the evening, we return to Naples to enjoy an authentic Neapolitan pizza experience in the city where pizza was born, providing the perfect opportunity to reflect on the day's discoveries and enjoy one of Italy's greatest culinary traditions.
Day 4
After breakfast, we enjoy a guided tour of the fascinating Catacombs of San Gennaro, one of Naples' most important historical and cultural landmarks. Hidden beneath the city streets, these ancient burial chambers offer a unique insight into Naples' rich heritage and centuries-old traditions.
After the tour concludes at midday you will have a few hours of free time before setting off to catch your return flight home (if you book the 20:10 flight). This is the perfect opportunity to sample a traditional pizza fritta—a beloved Neapolitan street-food speciality.
*This is the intended itinerary and may change as it is subject to the finalisation of the fixtures. The order of the itinerary is dependent on when over the weekend the Napoli v Parma fixture is scheduled.

We will be staying at the centrally located at the B&B Hotel Napoli. Breakfast will be included.

Flights are not included in the price.

Friday 5th March - fly out of London Gatwick (LGW) at 07:30 and land in Naples (NAP) at 11:10 with easyJet. Flight # EZY8337
Monday 8th March from Naples (NAP) at 20:10, landing back in London Gatwick (LGW) at 22:05 with easyJet. Flight # EZY8342
The above return flights are currently available for approximately £145
Tour dates and fixture finalisation
Serie A fixtures are not finalised until about 2-3 weeks before. At this point the day (Fri-Mon) and kick-off time will be released. In the unlikely event this match is scheduled for the Monday evening after the tour finishes we would provide a full refund and reimburse you for your flights.
Minimum group number required
This tour requires a minimum of 8 people to run. As soon as this number is reached we will confirm the tour so you can then book your flights. In the unlikely even that we need to cancel the tour due to not reaching this number we would return your deposit.
